About Us

Africana Communications Ltd is a Kenyan media company wholly owned and managed by media professionals. It has been in operation for the past 10 years and undertaken filming assignments in the whole of the East and Central African region and beyond.

Africana has well trained professionals in script writing, directing, technical operations and production of documentaries, still photography, radio/TV programs and digital audio-visual training materials. Key staff include:

Patrick Mungai is the company's producer / director. He has many years experience in television & documentary film production, script writing and still photography. He has produced / directed many documentaries and feature films.

Trained in Kenya, UK and USA. Widely travelled around the world.

Samuel Magomere is the company's consulting film editor/ cameraman and is highly experienced in digital editing. He trained in Japan in editing and film technology and has produced many documentaries. He is a former lecturer in film production and editing.
